Hi all. Sorry to burst in here unannounced. I'm selling an old Slingerland drum kit and I'm completely lost on what I should try and get for it. I don't know how to go about searching for a price check on it, since each piece has a different serial # and what not. I was hoping some of you aficionados in here would be able to point me to a good site for pricing drum kits (especially older ones) and/or offer a ballpark figure on what this kit might be worth. If anyone takes the time to check this out and offer an opinion, I'd be eternally grateful.
In a nutshell, it's a Slingerland 4-piece with a blonde natural-wood finish (I suspect it's maple?). The hardware varies from a Paiste 20' ride to an old Ludwig snare (I was told the snare is somewhat unique; the actual snare is attached to the frame with some nylon cords). Again, many thanks to anyone who could offer an opinion on this kit, even if it's just a guess. I realize the pictures don't tell too much since they were shot with a tiny digital camera.
This weekend I plan on taking it down to the local music store to get an estimate and maybe sell it on consignment.
