i welded it back together, but unless its a professional job it wont last very long. But what you do is dril a whole at the end of the crack and then weld it

Couple of tips

1. Technique, Hit the cymbals right and they won't break as much Hit on an angle rather that bashing straight down. 2. Choose larger cymbals 3. Buy decent cymbals in the first place spend a little extra the first time and buy quality

Hope this helps

I read once that the proper way to strike a cymbal is actually kind of a sweeping motion across the surface rather than straight down. Is this what you're referring to? From the Moment I Reached out to Hold I Felt a Sound....

In my experience, you can't fix cracked cymbals. The cracks just get worse. But, if the crack is at the edge (not the bell), no can try drilling a hole at the top of it to slow it down. Solder probably wouldn't be good because the heat can change the cymbal's sound and solder itself isn't very strong anyway.

drill a small (1/8' hole on each end of the crack..it may work may not....if not keep it for an effects cymbal..if it does...there you go!
