I remember there was a post here probably around 2 months ago with someone saying they had a cymbal cleaner that was real good. Does anyone know what it was or have any secrets of their own. I have Sabian AA (one brilliant finish one not) Sabian B8 Pro and one Zildjian chinese and really dont want to ruin them but a couple are looking really filthy with brown rings near the edges. The bell of my ride is pretty ugly as well, regular Sabian brand cleaner didnt do the trick.

Thanks all,

Try Wright's Copper Cream or Groove Juice. I have even had some mixed results with BBQ cleaner.

I find the Sabian cream pretty crappy. I also have AA cymbals, some brilliant.. some traditional.

For the brilliant.. best stuff is that Zildjian cream cleanser. In a tube and blue.

For the traditional.. use Groove Juice because the paste will turn black and get into the grooves of the traditional. I know from personal experience. Got it out with Groove Juice though.

Both will take the logos off the cymbals (mainly the Sabians)

some really old cymbals are virtually impossible to clean... I suggest just going to your drum store... taking your cymabl along and saying 'what's best to polish this up?'

I use a cleaner called Barkeepers Friend, it is like Comet cleanser, I got it in the local grocery store, works great!
