Hey there....

I am going to buy a Paiste Signature 17' Full Crash.. What is you opinion about that specific cymbal...? And what du you mean about the serie in general??

I play mostly rock like the danish artists; Tim Christensen of the old Dizzy Mizz Lizzy and Kashmir, also a danish band.... Visit their sites: www.timchristensen.net and www.kashmir.dk where you also can download bits of their music....

Venlig Hilsen / Best Regards

Wonderful cymbal, wonderful line. Good thing you are getting a Full crash, because the thinner ones tend to crack. If you are a *real* heavy hitter, you want to try a Zildjian A Custom Projection.

I have a 17' Full Crash and love it. I also use an 18' Fast Crash (a bit thinner but I'm not a heavy player so it does not cause me a problem.) Of course it's always hard to describe cymbal sound but I think it opens up fast sounds nice and glassy and then gets out of the way. It is a bit less glassy than the Fast Crash and dies quicker than the 18'. They also make a power crash if you need more metal. The Paiste Signature line is my favorite all purpose cymbals and I use them for all the rock, pop and blues stuff I do. I still use Zildjian K's for a more 'jazz' sound especially as a ride cymbal. Best of luck to you.
