I was wondering ir the rims mount system works? Does the drum sound better? What do you do with old mount holes?

Ya the system makes a real improvement, especially to bass drum mounted toms. The drums sound deeper and more expensive. A drum shop fitted my mounts, so can't help you with fitting.
