Has anyone here owned a set of REMO Masteredge drums. What can you tell me about them? I have heard some horror stories about REMO's, but most of the stories are talking about the Mastertouch series. It is my understanding that the new molded bearing edge has solved the problems of the edges getting soft. True/False? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Oh, and how do you like the sound of them. 516 or 316 shells?

I played a Mastertouch set for years, never had any problems with the shells. The only thing that went wrong was one of my bass drum spurs broke while on tour, but I blame that on tour stress. I believe I had 516 shells back then. Sounded quite good.
